Conservative Glamour

What woman hasn’t been affected by the recession?  We have all been more careful in our fashion purchases, reacting to fashion for the fall of 2010 in a more subtle and conservative style.  In the current state of the economy, it’s important for a woman to be much savvier in her choices and to also make sure that the item of clothing has staying power.

Conservative cut suits and coats, streamlined simplicity, quality materials; all of these play a role in the fall of 2010.  Neutrals are back, mainly because it is so much easier to justify your purchase with a neutral color in order to get as much wear as possible.

One of the neutral colors for the fall this year happens to be one of my favorites, grey.  Grey is the new black.  It blends in with many other colors, such as camel (yes!), deep red, olive green and just about all shades of blue.  It is a modern step up from black.

If you don’t have much experience in the color, an accessory might be the way to go.  A flower pin on a camel coat would look stunning.

Try it and tell me what you think.
