Commercially, Mother's Day is all about the mother. It's her special day, a day for her to relax, go out to brunch, be pampered. For me, it's all about my boys, Justin and Adam. Without them, I wouldn't be a mother.

I would like to tell you a little bit about them without causing too much embarrassment. Justin, as a child, gave me a run for my money. So much energy, going straight from 5:30am to 7:30pm every day. I was back in school and had no time to study because Justin was considered (this is the pediatrician's words, not mine) a "non-sleeper." So much energy!!! Running constantly!!! I used to have to send him out so that he could run some of that energy off and he used to circle around our front lawn for an hour to blow off steam. Today he has channeled that energy into his profession and is a very successful young man.

Adam, who graduated from college last year, was my quiet child. Very studious, introspective, sensitive and calm. He would take a while to think things through, studying the issue at every angle to make sure he made the best decision. As a toddler, I would drag him to every baseball game that Justin played in and he never complained. Today he has grown into a responsible, successful young man who is enjoying work and life to the fullest.

I am extremely proud of my sons. They are loving, caring individuals that know when to work hard and when to play hard. They are respectful of women, they take risks and above all, they follow their dreams and are passionate about life.

So, in honor of my sons on Mother's Day, I will leave them with this proverb, "A mother's heart is always with her children."
